Hey, my friend!
Last week, my husband Philip and I finally moved into our new home.
If I'm honest, buying this house wasn't our original plan for this year.
Six months ago, we found out our landlord wouldn't be renewing our lease, and for a few hours, it felt like a bomb had gone off.
We had just gotten married, and 2026 was supposed to be a calm year with no major changes. 😅
But once the initial shock passed, something interesting happened.
We started listing our options.
We could rent somewhere new and keep things flexible.
We could move to a different city.
We could sell all our stuff and travel.
Or we could buy our forever home.
And as we sat there going through this list, we both had the same quiet realization.
We had all of these options because of the business we'd been building for years.
Not because of one big launch. Not because of one viral moment, but because of thousands of small decisions we made over the years — to keep our costs low, set up different income streams, and build a business that gives us freedom and independence.
Buying a house wasn't just a purchase, it was proof that we took the right tiny steps for years.
And here's what I want you to hear:
Most creators are thinking about the next 90 days:
- What to post this week.
- Whether the last piece performed well.
- How to hit the next subscriber milestone.
And sure, those things matter.
But the creators who end up building real freedom don't get there by optimizing every week in isolation.
They get there by building something durable.
Something that compounds.
The newsletter that went out every Sunday, even when it was hard. 👋
The audience that kept growing while they slept.
The system that kept producing results even when they couldn't show up.
Sometimes, it's hard to see the results of our own work for a while. But it's exactly those moments when our actions are compounding.
And one day — maybe when you're not even looking for it — it'll show up as options you didn't know you had.
Keep building, my friend. 🏡
