Hey Reader,

I recently shared a Note on Substack that stirred up a lot of opinions:

Some creators agreed.

Others were offended.

They said they’d rather trust their intuition than rely on a “growth hack.”

They said they want to do it their way—even if it takes longer.

And I get it.

But here’s the thing: It’s easier to follow your intuition when you don’t have to worry about paying your bills.

So I published another Note, which led to even more conversations on the topic.

My key message is simple: If you’re creating without a strategy, your results are unpredictable.

If your income depends on it, unpredictability creates stress—and stress drowns out intuition.

That’s why strategy matters.

My friend Carolina Wilke wrote a powerful article in response to the conversation.

Carolina works with creators and business owners to help them get out of their heads and reconnect with their bodies—and she believes many people are confusing intuition with comfort-seeking.

She writes:

Your soul doesn’t care about comfort. It cares about evolution.

Just because something feels good doesn’t mean it’s your intuition speaking.

And just because something feels hard doesn’t mean it’s wrong or misaligned.

Sometimes, the thing you’re resisting—creating a real strategy, raising your prices, showing up more intentionally—is exactly what your intuition is nudging you toward, not away from.

If you’ve ever said, “This doesn’t feel aligned” as an excuse to avoid discomfort, read Carolina’s full article.

It’s deep, challenging, and one of the most honest reflections I’ve read on this topic.

Take a moment to reflect:

  • Is there something you’ve been avoiding in your creative work because it feels uncomfortable?
  • Are you calling it “intuition” even if it's just fear or resistance?
  • What’s one small step you could take this week that would stretch you, just a little?

Reply to this email with your answers if you’d like. I read every response and would love to hear what you’re currently aiming for. 💌

Big love from my screen to yours,
Sinem
