This week's edition is all about being prepared —not just hopeful—when it comes to hitting your goals.

Be Prepared Instead Of Afraid

Last week, I ran my first 10k race in a stunning coastal town in Spain. 🏃‍♀️🇪🇸

I used to hate running. Couldn’t run a kilometer without feeling like I was dying.

But I’ve been training for a 10k race at the end of May because I wanted to challenge myself.

And when I saw this race on the first day of my trip, I thought: Why not see how far I can go?

To my surprise, I made it to the finish line relatively easily.

But it wasn’t luck. It was preparation.

I've been preparing for the race in May for the past two months.

  • I’ve read two books on running.
  • My social media feeds are full of running content.
  • I’ve worked out 5x a week for the past 8 weeks.

Turns out… I was more ready than I thought, which made the race a success.

Here's why I'm sharing this: As a creator, entrepreneur, or writer, your success isn't just based on what you do on launch day.

It's a reflection of what you’ve done for the weeks and months leading up to it:

  • Every piece of content you publish.
  • Every email you send.
  • Every connection you build.
  • Every system you set up.

That’s the invisible training that makes “sudden success” possible—no matter if you're selling a $5 ebook or a $5,000 coaching package.

Most creators struggle to see the long-term picture of what they're building because it can be hard to see the impact of each "training session."

But progress isn't always visible, and what matters is that you continue to show up, even when you don't feel like it.

Preparation is progress.

And if you keep showing up without excuses, you’ll likely be more prepared—and further ahead—than you expected.

The 80/20 Launch Prep Rule

Before your next launch, spend 80% of your time before the start date:

  • Building anticipation
  • Strengthening relationships
  • Creating trust through value

Then use the remaining 20% to execute with confidence.

Remember: You don’t rise to the occasion—you fall to your level of preparation.

What are you training for right now—in life or business?

Keep writing, building, and scaling!
