I write hundreds of newsletters per year, but this one is particularly close to my heart.

The start of a new year is a special time for most people, but for me, it's also a reminder of how I took the leap to build my writing business.

Five years ago, I decided to go all-in on my writing.

I set a simple New Year's Resolution to write every day.

And I actually did it.

Three months later, my work was read by close to a million people, and I was hitting 5 figures in earnings per month.

Within half a year, I helped dozens of other writers replicate my strategies and grow their own audiences.

Over the next years, my goal of writing daily has turned into a thriving business that I run with two wonderful co-founders at Write • Build • Scale.

We built, changed, and learned a lot in 2024 (I wrote about it here), but the biggest shift was to launch our Substack publication, which has led to incredible growth opportunities in less than 6 months.

Thanks to everything we learned this year, we have a clear New Year's Goal for 2025: Helping as many writers as possible build Bestselling Substack publications.

But it's not for the reasons you might think.

When we talk about success on Substack, most writers think of earnings: They focus on how much $$$ they can make through paid subscriptions.

• You know how to create an irresistable offer (your paid tier).
  ​
• You know how to actually sell your work (even if you hate selling).

And that's still only the starting point.

Being a Substack Bestseller also means that you get access to exclusive features on the platform, a private Bestseller chat, and so much more.
