Hey Reader, I'm writing this email full of fresh energy because we've been enjoying a lot of sunshine here in Vienna over the past week. It already feels like spring - perfect for hikes, long walks, and slow moments: But there's one more thing I like to do when spring is around the corner.. I repot my plants! So I spent Sunday morning giving many of my babies new soil, a larger pot, and a cleansing shower. I don't know much about plants, but I love taking care of them to make sure they have the right environment to flourish. And while putting my plants into new pots with fresh soil, I had to think of how most creators would also benefit from a fresh start. I see a common pattern all the time when working with writers and entrepreneurs: They start with an exciting goal, follow it for a while, and then… something shifts. The excitement fades. They don't see the results they expected. They don't show up consistently anymore. But Instead of allowing themselves to pivot and have a fresh start, they cling to what they think they should do. They keep grinding, even when it no longer feels aligned. But here’s the truth: A fresh start is not a sign of failure. It’s a sign of mindful growth. Maybe you’ve been trying to monetize your writing, expertise, or knowledge for a while, but you feel stuck. You've been working on products or offers that don't excite you anymore. Or you've built something that you're not proud of, so you're struggling to sell it. One example we've seen with several of our clients lately is that they've been buried in busywork trying to build huge courses, databases, or complex coaching programs. An alternative path we often recommend is that they build a mini-course first. A mini-course is low effort, high impact. 🧑💻 It delivers a tangible result for your client while being easy to create and sell (with our system, you can create it within 7-14 days). Here's your mindset shift: Instead of forcing something that isn’t working, what if you gave yourself permission to start over? To pivot without guilt? At Write • Build • Scale, we recently made such a pivot for this very newsletter. For the past five years, I sent emails whenever I had something to share or when I was done writing an email. I didn't have a schedule or deadline. Sometimes, I'd send two newsletters in a week. Other times, I wouldn't send an email in two weeks, This wasn't sloppiness, though. It was an intentional choice because I didn't want to have a deadline. But as Write • Build • Scale grew, we decided that it was time for more structure and systems that help us stay on top of our game. So, we committed to sending a weekly newsletter on Wednesdays and a Digest on Sundays (click here for the first edition). At first, a weekly deadline felt scary and restrictive. But the truth is that it's just a fresh start. It's the next step in our growth journey. So, if your creative or entrepreneurial journey has been feeling stale lately, consider this: Maybe you don’t need to push harder. Maybe you just need a new pot, fresh soil, and the space to grow again. 🌻 Big love from my screen to yours, |

7 years ago, I left a comment on a Dutch guy's blog post. Last week, he slept on my couch. I know, I know - this could be the start of a pretty dramatic story. Luckily, I'm only talking about my co-founder Jari Roomer, who visited us in Vienna for a 4-day workshop to map out what 2025 will look like for us at Write • Build • Scale. When I first met Jari, we were both new to online writing. And to be fair, we didn't really know what we were doing. But we were both excited about the opportunity...
Most creators and online writers are on the wrong path. Not because they're dumb or lazy but because they don't have a clear vision of what they're building. They create some content here, post a few pieces there, and switch strategies every few weeks. They chase trends, follow generic advice, and copy others. And then they're surprised that their efforts don't pay off. In the worst case, they end up with a business they don't even enjoy running. I see it all the time: Writers who love...
